It is both disheartening and utterly inevitable that a guy got shot by ICE. The continuous escalation against law enforcement could have had no other result. The disheartening part is how his "team" is simultaneously so outraged and yet delighted that they finally pushed ICE to kill someone.

It is disingenuous (or stupid) to ignore that a lot of street level ICE officers are needed in sanctuary places where they have to pick up the bad guys after they have been released from jail instead of places where immigration holds are honored and they get picked up at a jail.
