I'm hoping they'll do "Murder On The Orient Express" and "Death On The Nile" too, as that's some of the most popular.

OKAY SO I just want it on record: Riyati Rebirthโs literal Call to Action moment is less than 5 pages in because Kylie sees a young โchildโ by themselves and decides chasing after said child into a suspiciously sus forest in the middle of nowhere is a great idea. Iโm *just saying*
#DeckTheHalls
#DeckTheHalls Well, that would have to be Ollie, embarking on a journey he never expected. Taking a leap of faith without really knowing where he was going to land.
Reversed: Anxiety for sure, and some naivety, too, certainly.
It's Dean.
Of course it's Dean.
This dumbass goes to the future instead of talking about his feelings.
Upright: he has adhd, what do you want from him?
Reversed: he has anxiety, what do you want from him?

Wren is both upright and reversed during COR

A young and naive reporter, he is thrust into a world of crime and occult after deciding to help investigate the death of the MMC's brother, a former colleague. #DeckTheHalls

Ah, Virgil's outlook is pretty depressing.
He is constantly thinking about it. Afraid of it.
Every second left is one stolen from a future he doesn't deserve, and he'll keep stealing that future for as long as he can get away with it.

It varies by character. Maybe how they show affection?
In "Good Boys Don't Howl," Flint is annoying, but he's using his bratty nature to bring Wulf out of his shell. He's like "I'll fluster you until you make me regret it, so you feel okay being you."

I do love how vastly different this card can be interpreted depending on the cards around it.
We are all, perhaps, the fool. ๐
Ooh, I love the idea of two characters on a card like this.
Would one of them tend towards upright and one towards reversed more?
#DeckTheHalls #DeckTheHalls Which character that youโve written would you put on this card, what would it mean if it was upright or reversed? The Fool Upright: Beginnings, Spontaneity, Leap of Faith Reversed: Folly, Poor Judgement, Naivety
#DeckTheHalls, a new prompt game!
One day, I plan to have a custom illustrated Tarot deck as merch. So, tell us how your characters match up!
Today's card is: THE FOOL
What character of yours would you put on it and how do they fit the meanings?

#DeckTheHalls Oh boy, do I even have 22 characters to pull from before I have to start using tabletop characters? Letโs find out!
The Fool is easy. Ash Cade, main character of my fantasy WiP. As much as he tries to be a cold planner, his gut leads him more than heโll admit. And it works reversed!

๐คฃ๐ฅฐ A prompt game right up my alley!
Charlie, my Mudlark, is my Fool. Image would be her gleefully leaping from rooftop to rooftop, scaring up roosting birds.
Chaos energy โ
A certain stubborn innocence โ

I've had a few characters that would fit this theme, but I think honestly I've been playing around with Legato for a while and I think he's the one I'd choose. Upright, or in one of his 'good moods' Legato is open to new experiences, he's naturally curious (elves are cats, it's science) ๐งต
05.12.2025 22:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For me, I think it's a combination of, as I am demi and you talk about him, suddenly my defenses get a little bypassed.
Plus, I'm getting closer to his age. It's like I finally get out of the closet and was like "When did dads become hot?" ๐คฃ
The artwork is also just fantastic, as always.
Myself as well. Humans are always doing pattern recognition, and I think Tarot actually is a pretty clear set of tropes or archetypes, I think.
If Fate exists, I live for the day I can punch them in the face. I value belief, not faith, and that's... complicated.
But very fun to explore.

Kellvian. XD
Man is at the same time seemingly literaly blessed by destiny and the best hope to get his world back on a better track while also sometimes acting horribly naive and unworldly.
No problem! It must be hard maintaining two accounts. I thought about doing an "NSFW" one for some of my other work, but I just don't have the energy, and all my stuff is for adults anyway.
05.12.2025 22:50 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I laid them out and started going... Oh, I could absolutely make merch here.
When I start looking for artists, I'll hit you up for recommendations, if you don't mind.
I was definitely thinking of my own child contemplating this prompt. It's so interesting how it sounds derogatory, but this is like the life blood of a story.
There MUST be a Fool, or else nothing happens, and it's usually their innocence that at least inspires how the day gets saved.
#DeckTheHalls omg, officially obsessed with this prompt
12yo Emcee from my middle-grade sci-fi adventure Peregrine Pax// My Best Friend is an Interdimensional Shapeshifting Time Traveller ๐๐๐ธ epitomises all the meanings of the Fool as you've written them below on the card, upright and reversed

I'd have more to say if my first thought wasn't always "God, he's hot" every time I see art you have of him.
I think a lot of people have The Fool being the MC or at least kicking off the story. It's fun to see how much that character type drives narrative.
#DeckTheHalls
I already have Bert in mind to be turned into a tar-art nouveau card (psst @birdko.art teehee) of The Fool.
I think he's a good representation of the upright position. His entire adult life path was one giant leap of "I'll start somewhere VERY NEW! and learn to parent for freedom!" ๐งต
Oh, god, I wish I didn't find that so incredibly relatable. At least the failing to work within a system part. I'm too arrogant myself for the "not a loser" part. ๐

I do love a subversion like that when the "wait I minute, I have plot armor, right?" absolutely fails.
05.12.2025 22:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's so nice to see a lot of folks sharing this hyper-fixation.
I got a new Tarot deck today and started mapping the characters and thought others might enjoy it.
Thank you! Well, if they learned every lesson we'd run of stories.
05.12.2025 22:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Fool has really great protagonist energy. You need someone that will take risks but be just dumb enough to screw up for the plot. ๐คฃ
It's an endearing trait.
I had this idea like 30 minutes ago because I bought a Tarot deck and started doing this looking at the Major Arcana.
I... apparently need to do these 21 more times now.
Did I mention that Virgil is The Fool. Virgil and I are... not similar at all. ๐
