I'm LOVING Briefly Perfectly Human by Alua Arthur, a memoir of her journey to becoming a death doula. Trying to read slowly so I can savor it, but it's difficult not to gulp it down.

My coping mechanism for dealing with the nonstop deluge of horrors is just putting more cute community building/educational shit into the world. The more horrific shit they shovel onto us the more cute shit they're going to get out of me. I have to recommend this as a coping mechanism.
