YEP. That was why I was angry.

Anyway, you can't trust the AI checkers. Trust your gut.

I only said it felt a bit flat, too gobsmacked to say much.

I don't usually care so much about others writing with AI, not my business that they're not actually learning how to write, so I didn't quite know why I was so angry.

Indubitably written by a human, the AI checkers said. 99% chance of human-only writing.

Chagrined, I praised her work while editing it, because it really WAS better, if less alive.

In our session, she said, "Oh, I've been using AI. Do you think it shows?"

A coaching client recently turned in a piece of writing that was at once much better (more lyrical) and also more boring than her normal writing. It was like a diva singing seven notes of an aria on repeat.
