The PWHL announced that, after a league-initiated review with the PWHL Player Safety Committee, Minnesota Frost defender Maggie Flaherty has been suspended for two games.

The play was originally downgraded from a major to a minor. That clearly was not the correct call.

To downgrade this to “check to the head (accidental)” is a choice.

why have an auto misconduct for head contact if youre not gonna use it to disincentivize dangerous plays? makes no sense.
