A small update

As someone who has never been much for drawing, with a brief bit of observation (Thank you to Graphite Flow [franek.bielak.art@gmail.com] for the information) and patience, I worked this sketch into something presentable for a complete newbie.

I hope for a sort of Wicked Step-Mother vibe from her.

God love Bluesky, but they made this four part series near impossible to share, and so I present it here, coherently.

Fourth picture: two aerial shots of the borough from 1993 and again from 2012, showing the forestation as well as explaining the governor's invoking of imminent domain.

The third photo of a small, isolated home that looks a little unsteady on the crumbling burning earth below. It still looks loved and welcoming despite this.

The second picture is an aerial shot of the city in 2003, showing just how little of the city remains, the city blocks overgrown with forestation.

The first photo is of the same street, Main Street, side-by-side, before the fire and again in 1993.

To be fair. Most people come to Centralia for the abandoned highway. But as of 2020, it's been largely covered with dirt to reduce the amount of smoke pluming from the cracks.
