26.02.2026 15:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't even need *consequences* per se. I just want satisfying narratives, and every time something potentially interesting starts to form it seems to fizzle. (The bowling scene comes to mind). Maybe it's leading up to something, but I'm losing patience.
26.02.2026 15:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm somewhat in the same boat. I feel like the kiss was this exciting cliffhanger and we switched to a season of filler content. Every time I think something is coming it just seems to fizzle. Glad some people are enjoying it still, but I'm finding it hard to engage with the material.

01.11.2024 17:02 β π 16277 π 3788 π¬ 291 π 171Today's comic really emphasizes that good stories can *and should* have complex moments that can be both celebrated and condemned. While I love Joe/Joyce, I love more the pathos of this story. People being happy is boring. Also: Sarah's emotional growth has been a surprising bonus in all of this.

Deskilling is real.
This is the world generative AI peddlers long for, one where people are incompetent without their service.
Don't outsource your brain to this shit. You'll regret it.
I was definitely the former. I'm not upset about the current developments, and I'm very aware that there were plenty of signs of Joyce's bisexualness in other comics, but I dunno, I just took that at face value and stopped thinking about it entirely. Again, not mad, but it was definitely a surprise!

It's a great word and much better than the other offered alternative of "class."

This was one of the big cures of my impostor syndrome; I even still sometimes think I'm an idiot even though I have a frikkin' PhD, because nearly anyone can talk circles around me if they know how to spew gibberish well enough.
The genuine smartest people I know don't tend to show it off.

I'm similarly oblivious. Everyone Joyce dated was a guy, so I just kinda went, "ok cool she likes guys."
This plotline has me revising my thought pattern to, "ok cool she likes guys and girls. Or at least one very specific girl."
100% agreed. I'm not even confident there will even be a blue shift at this point. The whole country has gone mad.

I remember a few years back how Adam Conover had a whole bit about how we shouldn't worship any heroes because everyone is awful at some point or another. People would say, "the only person I trust is Adam Conover" and he said, "no, not even me."
A bit sad to see that exhibited so plainly now.
