Back when I was a security guard at The Masters. That's me, kneeling to the right of the man in the red blazer. This was 1994.

I'd rather be an unknown writer who is also an accountant than just an accountant.

I'm not writing as much, therfore not submitting as much, therefore not publishing as much, but woke this morning to an acceptance. Still feels as good as the first, over 20 years ago. Note to self: write more, write better.

I can't believe it's almost time to make my Masters picks. I run a fantasy league at my paying job (I like my non-paying job better)..

Its usually around now when I lower my goal for publications and I'm about to do away with them altogether. It's more fun this way.

I don't really mind rejections but it'd be nice to get fewer of them. I know, I know - write better stories.

Not a big football fan but I lived in Philly for 12 years, long enough, I think, to rightfully claim the Eagles as my hometeam.

It's always 1st or 3rd...I'm yet to try 2nd.

I wrote my first short story when I was 13. It was about a serial killer who took his victims in elevators, so everyone started taking the stairs instead. An unforeseen byproduct was that they all got in better shape. Something like that, it was a long time ago.

Such exciting news, she'sgoing to love it! I lived in Italy for a few years, I think you'll find the language easy to learn.
