Happy Thanksgiving, Canada.

I didn’t even realize the blue/yellow existed until a few years ago… when I saw it online, I was shocked. scored the set for $70 on eBay when it was going for $110.

The crazy thing is that they never made her classic jeans and pink shirt as a figure in the 90s. This robot fighters was one of three during that time- the others were her Gen X costume and also blue and yellow team costume that came in a collectible set with 8 figures.

X-Men '97 Jubilee for the Marvel Legends series!

Oh!!! The box art on the top right is different than the first wave! This one shows Jubilee, Jean, and Morph. I don’t think any of them were on the original figures.

If you look at the animations for Jubilee, the developer of this game specifically used Jubes’ running, punching, and jump sidekick animations directly from the arcade episode in X-Men ‘97!

I loved their moments together in Madripoor. They also went on some missions together in the X-23 series.

It is Professor X we are talking about. She has resistance, and can at times appear invisible to scanners/telepaths… but it isn’t always successful.

That’s crazy. I went as Jubrolee one year and several people recognized it as a male Jubilee. Wasn’t even a fraction as detailed as your amazing cosplay… I’m surprised no many recognized it.

Yeah no prob! Hellcat was really fun… more comical and funny- but they gave Jubilee some good vampire power moments. She shows up in issue 9 and lasts about ten issues I think.

That makes sense. There is a lot of their relationship within this series. Also he sticks around and follows her in the Hellcat series, and in Generation X volume 2. The most touching story I’ve read concerning her love for him is in the X-Tremists mini series.

From what I remember, the team does confront someone tied to Shogo’s past later on in the same series. I don’t want to spoil it, but I do remember there is more to the story. Also… if you haven’t read about Jubilee and Shogo yet, there are fun and touching stories to come.

They explain it later in the series I believe. I think she was in a different country when a meteor hit and took out a children’s hospital. She rescued the baby and later adopts him. They also give more back story later.

@gailsimone.bsky.social confirmed recently in the Free Comic Book Day issue last year that Jubilee does have telepathic immunity. She was invisible to a telepath in that issue. I asked her about it and she confirmed that this is a power she still has.
