We've started a new block of Little Riders & Striders at the Clydebank Hub in West Dunbartonshire. The children were introduced to the balance bikes, we explored helmet safety, and worked on balancing, braking & control. We then walked to the park for a story and some chalk play.

The children and families from our Rise & Shine service enjoyed a night at Glasgow Science Centre and IMAX cinema.
The Community Learning team at the centre invited the families along to help celebrate the wonderful communities throughout the city and the Science Centre itself turning 25 years old.

Huge thanks to the lovely team at our charity partner Hacking and Paterson Management Services who raised almost £300 to support our work with young children and families.The team got well into the Christmas spirit by hosting Festive Fashion Friday across their Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

The children at our Womb to Move & Fit by Five sessions in Pollok, Glasgow, have been concentrating and developing their sensory system. This is called the vestibular system which gives us our sense of balance and spatial awareness, & helps children coordinate their large and fine motor movements.

We were delighted to welcome @nataliedon-innes.bsky.social to our Rise & Shine service in Glasgow city centre. Rise & Shine is a vibrant hub providing young children, living in temporary accommodation, with much-needed play and learning opportunities

At our Baby Stay Play and Learn session in Renfrewshire, the children enjoyed making their own playdough—exploring textures through mixing, kneading and shaping. These sensory-rich experiences support creativity, fine motor development and imaginative play.

Huge thanks to Connor from Cycling Scotland for taking our latest Little Riders & Striders session at Bridgeton Community Learning Campus in Glasgow. After our eager cyclists practised their peddling, the families went to find the fairies who live in the woods before we made our nature fairy wands.

The heavy showers didn't put off our Little Riders and Striders in Dumbarton as they worked on their balance & coordination skills. The Little Riders and Striders sessions are run in partnership with We are Cycling UK , Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, and @transportscotland.bsky.social

Congratulations to our our Project Managers, Laura and Louise, who have recently completed the Training for Trainers course to become accredited HENRY trainers.

It has been wonderful to welcome the first families to our Rise & Shine family wellbeing sessions at our brand new premises in Glasgow city centre.
