Who’s eligible? Students, researchers, and educators from primate habitat countries within five years of their terminal degree (ASP membership required).

This award provides $1,500 in financial support and international recognition for students and early career investigators from primate habitat countries who are making meaningful contributions to primate conservation.

Nominations are OPEN for the Emerging Conservationist Award from the American Society of Primatologists! ⬇️

Applications for ASP Small Research Grant proposals are now open! The deadline for application submission is March 20, 2026.

Award amounts range from $500 to $2000. We welcome proposals on primate research from wild, zoo, laboratory and sanctuary settings.

🐒 Undergraduate and graduate student members are eligible for the Ruppenthal Student Travel Award. Students must be presenting work as a first author and the abstract must be accepted for presentation. Students living in Latin America are encouraged to apply!

Applications for travel awards open January 26th! These awards are intended to help offset the cost of attendance at an ASP annual meeting for those who would otherwise not be able to attend.
