When following the headlines fills me with despair, it's comforting to cuddle with a family member who remains blissfully unconcerned about fascism.
That would be Trixie (a/k/a Bat-Mite).

Never believe a word 'Scottish' Labour says - especially the branch manager Anas Sarwar. They are simply a branch office of English Labour designed to fool the Scottish people in return for minor roles in London and the possibility of 'honours' and ermine robes. They have no power.

My suggestions to the UK govt for rejuvenating economy.
Must boost purchasing power of the bottom 50% of the population, cut taxes for the poor, eliminate tax perks of the rich.
The Minister did not respond. Will the Chancellor change policy?

Today, we have more income and wealth inequality than ever before.
But the greed of the oligarchs never stops.ย
Now, in order to get huge tax breaks, they want to cut back on Social Security, Medicaid and veterans programs.
Together we can stop them.ย We must stop them.

It's doing pretty significant numbers for what it is, so while I understand sharing it won't make a difference for those knee-deep in the cult of personality, I'd say it has a better-than-average chance of resonating.
Hey, I get itโIโm like Beetlejuice.
Say my name three times, and I'll appear with our agenda to tackle inequality & speak the truth about migration.
Itโs been a huge benefit to this country, no matter how much these millionaires try & spin it.

why is there always money for arms and war yet never any for making the peoples life any better why just why
09.03.2025 20:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0To revive economy UK govt must redistribute wealth.
Bottom 50% of the population has 5% of wealth; bottom fifth has 0.5%. 1% have more than 70% population combined.
Median wage is ยฃ29,604. Real average wage unchanged since 2008.
Cut taxes on the bottom 50%. Tax wealth. End tax perks of the rich.

Why are we letting the Energy Companies rip us off?
Why do Private Health Companies exist?
Why are we allowing the richest to have so much money and pay no tax?
Why?
Volunteers and organisers on steps of Guildhall with a sign saying refugees welcome
Really appreciated meeting with organisers & volunteers of Worcester City Welcomes Refugees.
People who are fleeing war, persecution and unimaginable suffering need both our compassion & support.
Proud to see @worcestergreens.bsky.social working hard to lift their voices.

UK spent more money than most countries on Covid pandemic help; ended with more sickness, mental health problems, life expectancy drop.
Looted in frauds, contracts for cronies.
Poor, already struggling suffered most.
Govts still fuelling inequalities, making the poor vulnerable.
As long as Terrorists Trump and Moscow Musk are in the White House Iโm rooting for China ๐คท

Banks speculate with other people's money, gains privatised, public bailout if crashed, customer charges hiked.
Govt says pay rises are inflationary but not when applied to bankers.
We can't have money for the homeless.
We can't have money to support disabled people.
We can't have money to insulate homes.
We can't have money to support grassroots communities or culture or the arts.
Yet there's always lots and lots of money for the arms trade.
The markets are crashing, we can't afford eggs anymore, the economy is shrinking, our allies are abandoning us...
But we'll always have the Gulf of America.
