About Our 2027 Festival Move - sundance.org Starting January 2027, the Sundance Film Festival will be held in Boulder, Colorado. The 2026 Sundance Film Festival will take place in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, as previously announced.

The 2027 Sundance Film Festival will take place outside of Utah for the first time since the festival’s inaugural event in 1978.
The festival is moving to Boulder, Colorado for at least the next ten years.
