This is a fair point, which gets to how underrated Mal's last season was (& ppl unduly crap on it).

But that said, it all boils down to playoff performance. 26.1/5.7/7/1 in 2023 vs 21.8/4.2/4.9 in 2025... My point is he is capable of doing better... and if he doesn't, the Nuggets won't win a title.

But hell, man, if Mal resurrects himself into that dude again, all the chips are on the table for the taking.

A weak-ass, injured DEN team took OKC to 7. And yes, they'll be better. But both teams should be, and if any team should win a rock fight, it'd be the Nuggets.

It may be the gambler's fallacy (and probably is), but you know how shit just didn't go right for the Nuggets in 2024 and 25? Seems like it's time for their number to turn up.

(And yeah, I know the Bucks are saying 'Hold my beer'. But ykwim.)

But all of this said, I am a believer that this will be a plus Jamal Murray season.

Feels like the timing is ripe for a bounce-back.

Jamal Murray is the most important Denver #Nuggets player in 2025-26.

Denver's tides will turn with him, for better or worse.

Make no mistake. The #Nuggets need Jamal Murray to come in hot this season, and not do his usual taking 3 months to get into shape. Nikola Jokic and his minutes can't afford that.

That said, Mal is fully capable of this if he applies himself. Will he? So much rides on it.

Another thing: this shows how (often) players are better educated about this stuff than many fans, & than many give them credit for.

Like esp Duncan R about his MIA sitch. These guys (who chose not to be) aren't "pawns". They have active, knowledgeable input on their outcomes.

That said, I spent like 15m in class explaining to a student how we use "like" in slang (as I just did here), so I suppose we're all victims of our own respective generational vernaculars.

I mean, I can't say for sure, but all the word on the Nike deal unis is that they want them to be, well, uniform, and not too "out there" and it's limiting design creativity.
