Where I live we now have got through the 10 weeks of the year with less than 9 hours of daylight and are approaching what I like to call the "rapidly lengthening daylight" period of the year. This #dataviz shows the weekly loss and gain of daylight at 51 degrees north.

November has been a mixed month in the UK. It started off very dull and mild. Then there was a very cold snap that brought temperatures back to average. Overall it was dry but storm Bert brought quite a bit of rain to England. There was more sunshine in the second half of the month. #dataviz

Because day length according to the sun is only 24 hours on 4 days of the year, the time of solar noon (highest point in the sky) changes each day. Meaning the earliest sunset and latest sunrise do not occur on the same day. This #dataviz shows sunrise and sunset times for London over next 6 weeks.
