Oh I never doubted that the dates are in the rules, I was just saying the UCI has never felt too duty bound by the letter of its own rules.

I might be wrong on this but I could swear those deadlines you mention have been flexed in the past. They're not quite as set in stone as they appear.

Oh so many thoughts! I don't agree that there's no writers with personality. Jonny Long does a fine line in nonsense, CMB does great reporting and Rachel Jary has a real voice. Those are all under 35 I believe and there are others.

I think audiences can cope. I suspect the main reason for it is The Batman and Superman are so tonally different that any merging probably weakens both as a proposition.
