I just jammed my finger (nothing severe) and it really hurt. If it happened to my almost 3 year old, he would have immediately started hysterically crying. Sometimes I wish I could just lose my shit and it not be incredibly awkward.

It's nearly 2pm aka napping hour. This time of day is so hard. Much coffee is required, no matter how much sleep I get the night before. Can we bring back siestas? Asking for a friend...

We took our almost 3 year old and our doggo on a hike today. It was good for my soul to spend some time in nature. I was honestly impressed by how much walking my child did and super proud of his problem solving skills. Loved seeing my senior dog run. Hopefully the first of many such expeditions!

I was telling a friend of mine to read the book, and that was her first question, so I figured I'd better get ahead of it!

Just finished reading Gather by Kenneth M. Cadow for my middle grades/YA book club. This is our first book of the year; what a winner we picked! Can't wait to discuss. Highly, highly recommend. Also: while a lot of terrible things happen to the protagonist, the dog makes it through just fine. 📚💙

I recommend Cozy Shack rice pudding, they sell it at most grocery stores. V tasty!

My doggo spent the day at doggie daycare yesterday while we were out weddinging. They took multiple photos of him but this one is by far the winner. 🐕

At a Catholic wedding today; this really unearths so many childhood memories. Feeling at peace with my life choices and happy to be here to support my friends. Shout out to the band, too - the music is way better than average. #recoveringcatholic 😉
