The Trust Library team is offering the following for all Trust staff:

Trust Library Service Christmas and New Year Opening Times. York Library: unstaffed from 5pm 24/12/25 to 9am 02/01/26. Scarborough Library: unstaffed from 1pm 24/12/25 to 9am 02/01/26. However 24/7 swipe card access will be available at York Library and a door code is available for access at Scarborough Library between 6am-11pm.
York and Scarborough hospital libraries will be unstaffed from the end of the day on 24th December until the morning of 2nd January.

The Library's Virtual Book Group is a monthly get-together of book lovers from all around the Trust. It's a great opportunity to try books you might not usually pick up.

Colleagues can sign up to whichever session works best for them via the health literacy session sign-up form (link via LinkTree in bio).

During Health Information Week (19-26 January 2026), the Trust Library Service will be running two 30-minute health literacy sessions.
The sessions will provide learning about what health literacy is and how it is relevant to you and your role in the NHS.
Literature Searching: Learn how to get the most out of databases like Medline and CINAHL.
Got uni assignments to do over Christmas?
If you need some help with searching the literature, please ask the Library team for our ‘Introduction to Literature Searching' session!
