Oh sure, I've got loads of these kinds of pics, interiors and exteriors from my various travels.

I know people make huge super detailed builds, but I find it way more fun trying to figure out what details to preserve and what to sacrifice by trying to keep to a particular scale. It's just block pixel art! Forces you to solve the construction like a puzzle because you can never be exact

... Did I mention I recreated it ~1 to 1 in Minecraft

It's got a lot of charm, and very interesting to compare as the start and finish of their respective stylistic periods, but there's a coherence about Salisbury and an incompleteness about Wells that puts Salisbury above it for me. Though that's on pure aesthetics, of course.

Behind them, further along the cathedral, is the tower with many fine details and windows, topped with a very tall stone spire.

Sure I made a couple of perspective errors here and there but it feels nice as a primarily digital artist to know I can also do on-paper stuff and have it come out okay

Got myself a tiny little book I can put in my coat pocket so I can practice observational drawing freehand while out and about on adventures. Hopefully I can fill it up with interesting stuff

Not too mention the museum is neoromanesque, and Romanesque architecture didn't use flying buttresses (because they weren't invented yet)

Don't think I've ever posted these, but back in 2020 I did a whole series of thumbnail sketches that follow the plot of War of the Worlds as accurately as I could get it told in 24 panels. Pretty sure I covered each major event!

Bit sad, but I used to show off this trick. I could get people to point to any colour and I'd get a HSV match in seconds.

I adapted 4 of these into full sized things that I could certainly do better now, but hey.
