You can unlock Satan for 30 pieces of silver. Earn silver by completing PrayerQuests, or buy it in the in-game store.

In second place for most and least like the citywide average were Albany Park and Lakeview.

In 2020, the Chicago community area with a population age distribution that most closely resembled the city as a whole was Bridgeport. On the flipside, the CA with the greatest difference was West Town.

Map showing Logan Boulevard, the location of the speed camera, and where drivers are bypassing it.

Has anyone noticed people driving faster than normal down little Logan? I'm talking faster than the traffic on the main street. I watched one woman completely blow a stop sign at 20+ mph this morning and another screamed at me for motioning for her to slow down while I was in the crosswalk and concerned she'd run me down. She had to be going 35. I'm guessing the speed cameras don't catch any of this.
There are lots of parents and kids riding their bikes and walking to school. It's upsetting.

i think they’re definitely bypassing the cameras and feeling victimized that they have to do so in the first place. it’s tough out there.
seconding reaching out to your alderman - speed bumps may be the solution here. you might have to get some signatures from residents on logan blvd to get that in motion, although the alderman’s office can give you directions there!

Yes, especially at California heading west. Trying to avoid the camera on Logan Blvd.

If by little Logan you mean the service drive then the reason for the increase traffic is the camera.

There's a post on the Logan Square FB page documenting a behavior I've seen as well, which is more and more drivers speeding down the service drives on Logan Blvd to avoid the newish speed camera on the main roadway. The service drives desperately need traffic calming.

Waiting for the surplus to inundate the Canadian market and make pasta prices drop here.

And then making a lucrative business out of smuggling pasta from MontrΓ©al to New York on the Adirondack.

It seems like the church owner is the one doing the redevelopment, so that might explain it. Glad to hear La Spata offered an upzone. The first ward seems like an obvious target for the next proactive upzoning.

I hope Sigcho-Lopez chooses to run as an independent, partly because I think it’d be a fun race to watch and partly because I believe an open seat deserves competition.

Avondale's Our Lady Of Fatima Church To Be Demolished For 3 Single-Family Homes The sister church to nearby St. Hyacinth has saint sculptures and other artifacts that should be saved, preservationists said.

An almost identical thing happened last year a few miles away in Avondale where a historic church was demolished for just three SFHs. Even worse, it was just a couple blocks from the Belmont Blue line station.

Another Church Demolition Permitted, This Time In Logan Square, For SFR Redevelopment - Chicago YIMBY Even as some Chicagoans are still coming to grips with the demolition of a vintage church in Ravenswood, another has been slated for demolition and redevelopment.

This blows. Not only are we losing a 130-year-old church, but in return we're getting just four homes on a site that's almost half an acre and only a 10 min walk to the Blue line.

The underlying zoning is RS-3, and it's just a lot easier to build SFHs by right than contend with a rezoning.

Renderings Revealed For 910 South Wells Street Within Riverline - Chicago YIMBY Renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use proposal at 910 South Wells Street in the South Loop.

Glad to see the riverfront between Harrison and Roosevelt slowly filling in, but it kinda breaks my heart to see such banal architecture going up next to River City. After waiting decades for some neighbors, it deserves so much more.

Deepest point in North America is the bottom of Great Slave Lake in Canada, which is over 1500 feet below sea level. Dunno about South America.

Part of the reason why Lake Superior is so massive and deep (its deepest point is 733 feet below sea level and is the lowest point in the continental US) is because it occupies an ancient rift valley. What is now North American almost split in half a billion years ago.

As I’m sure you already know, the Edmund Fitzgerald met her doom 50 years ago today. In honor of this somber occasion, here’s a very detailed bathymetric map of Lake Superior.

The crazy thing about lake freighters is that they last forever. If the Edmund Fitzgerald hadn’t sunk 50 years ago, she’d probably still be hauling ore today. The last ship to see her, the Arthur M. Anderson, was still sailing as recently as last year.
