The poll number are straining as much as that suit button.

He did say that, I assume it's Topham Guerin as they are UK based.

For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:

Tax cuts for the rich
...don’t trickle down

Boosting military spending
...doesn’t bring peace

Slashing regulations
...doesn’t create jobs

Folks, we’ve seen this all before.

Yeah that's the '23 election campaign. It's all very 'global agency'. I'm intrigued about how they get their internal numbers. Socials?

The digital campaign that rewrote NZ's political playbook Behind this historical win we developed a crafty digital campaign that changed the face of the electoral landscape forever.

So its Topham Geurin's numbers. The election work is a (hero to zero) case study.

So, still public polling but they found a better number. Every time he opens his mouth it scrapes a bit off.

What exactly is an internal number? I genuinely don't understand. It sounds like 'yeah 28% but its actually higher because we say so"

Eeeuuw, it has vibes of 90s smart, cool businessman changing shit up like the tech bros.

An exceptionally good story. Impressive to see how vision and commitment is delivered.

I've twice this week had a need to visit the health system in Nelson, all OK as it transpires. But I need to comment on the total professionalism of everyone I dealt with. Friendly, helpful, experienced, committed, albeit a bit understaffed.

But he has repeatedly said he doesn't look at the polls

Like volcanos, terrorism and a pandemic. Tough to know how to lead through those things eh? I wonder who might know?

There it is, in the red.

I read recently that you understand science and believe in Santa Claus.

A crisis defines leadership. Who TF is briefing him? Is he genuinely not prepared for the challenger questions? Or does he really believe his own nonsense so much that he thinks it doesn't matter?

So, that infers the kind of country that the right leaning voters want. Mmmm :-(

Don't wanna be a freak! Kicking off with Arif Mardin's production of Aretha's Rock Steady, then jumping ahead 50 years into some new boogie from Dave Lee & Maurissa. Following a bit of slap bass disco house, there's JKriv re...

I love disco. There, I said it. Disco served as a cultural, social, and emotional escape during the 1970s, a period marked by economic, social, and political turmoil. Music is a sanctuary for liberation, self-expression, and joy in a time of fear. That time is now.

Thanks for clearing that up.

My point is that the govt hasn't banned the charges and may not.

And this... Current Status (Feb 2026): The Retail Payment System (Ban on Merchant Surcharges) Amendment Bill has stalled. While reported back by a select committee in Nov 2025, it has not progressed, with reports in Feb 2026 suggesting the plans are "going nowhere".

It's petty, uninformed, libertarian nonsense. Again.

NZ has the highest rate of homelessness in the OECD -double the next ranked.

It’s now a $2000 fine or jail if you are broke, destitute and sleeping rough.

They cut services to give tax cuts to landlords. Now they wonder why record rates of people are leaving.

And wrap in a remixed centralised three waters plan that talks to reduced rates and proper funding of NZs water infrastructure - they might have a chance,

I might jinx it but crikey Nelson Tasman has had some corker summer weather of late.

Was the labour slide all about being pissed off with pandemic and supposed mismanagement? I bet that's what the Nats will try and resurrect - people are still pissed.
