It's a very cool language, and I don't think I'll give it up at all, but it's also like... is this what I want to do right now?

I mean, pitch stuff hasn't been hard for me, and neither were tones. All of that is just memorization and mimicking. The grammar of Russian is what's killing me. Even the most basic sentences require me to not only know vocab, but 800 conjugations, and case.

I mean, Chinese as well. Russian is mental gymnastics, in the same way that English is. It's beautiful, but the amount of work that goes into even the simplest sentences.... Good lord
