Hope Mom and Mabel are feeling better and we know what made Mabel mad this week.

It was a roast, not steaks

I picked up a petite sirloin tip this week and we had it for dinner last night. After a ten minute rest it was a perfect medium rare (135°F). With it, homemade horseradish sauce, stir fried veggies, salad, and smashed Parmesan topped mini potatoes. Delicious.

A friend named his Dalmatian, Two Hearts. She had a heart around each eye.

Emma loves veggies on her breakfast and dinner. The more the merrier she says. Mom will try raw spinach soon.

Sunday Soup. Tonight's soup was Mexican seafood with veggies. A seafood broth base (Pensey's) with tomato sauce, potatoes, celery, onion, carrots, zucchini, chipotle and 3 kinds of fish. With it beer bread and a Margarita.

Pizza Night. A friend shared a picture of a Detroit pizza she ordered from a place in Reno, NV. I made my OR version of it for our dinner. Topped with mozzarella, pineapple jam, Canadian bacon, bacon, peppers, Parm, & stripes of red sauce on a gf crust.

Best tuna sub I have had in years. Credit goes to Chef Alina for another great bread recipe.

Baking again. Gluten free Mexican Bolillos for tonight's sandwiches. Cooling now but they have that crunchy crust Bolillos are known for.

Dinner and dessert. Baked chicken legs, Garnet yams, my take on the Columbia restaurant 1905 salad, and chocolate peanut butter chip cookies. So delicious and no, the hubs and I didn't eat all those cookies but we could have. Delicious.

When I was little my dad would take me to the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles and we would get rare prime rib sandwiches (French dip). Don't let those memories slip away. Make them at home and keep telling your stories to us all. You never know when you will trigger a memory for someone else.🤗

Sausage and cheese muffins. I wrap individually and freeze. They are perfect for a grab and go breakfast or snack after one minute microwave warmup.

Tonight we had a delicious Dirty Martini pasta. The Jovial gf pasta was tossed in a sauce made with Castelvetrano green olives, vodka, garlic, olive oil, a little pasta water and butter. It was then topped with crumbled blue cheese and toasted walnuts. Not low calorie

Happy Valentine's Day. Our neighbor gave us some duck breasts from a recent hunting trip. Sous Vide, sauteed, and served with a marionberry sauce, potatoes, green beans, and homemade rolls. Ice cream & chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert.

I eat the same once or twice a year.😋

I dehydrated orange slices at Christmas time for decorations.

Picked up some of these Portuguese sausages at Costco and made a new sheet pan recipe for sausage, potatoes, onion, and fresh tomatoes in a broth with water, smoked paprika, S & P, red wine vinegar. Baked for 2 hours until broth mostly evaporated.
