Birthday dinner for my brother. I cooked a pork loin in the Crock-Pot with diced garnet yams and a homemade peach salsa. Served it over rice (not mine) with Thai sweet chili sauce and or Sriracha. Green beans on the side. Cake and ice cream for dessert.

Sunday breakfast treat with some coffee. Gluten free oat scones with blueberries from our yard. Tender and delicious.

Mac is a 120 lb love bug, AKA Lab.

It rained last night in our NW corner of Oregon. Not a lot but all the plants got a drink.

I made a calzone for tonight's dinner. The dough was made with Better Batter's gf pizza flour. The filling was red sauce, grated mozzarella, fresh basil, mini pepperoni, and prosciutto. A sprinkle of mozzarella on top. Delicious!

You won't have as much room to get into trouble. I, Mac, had to be crated when mom and dad left, and at night until just recently and I am 3

Mom is sending big hugs to your mama and to you too. You are just a baby with lots to learn and those darn puppy pads just are so perfect to shred. Are you crate trained? Usually puppies won't pee in their crate, and your dog walker can let you out to the potty spot. 1/2

Tonight's dinner was an Asian take on smash tacos. Pork mixed with tamari, a little sesame oil, ginger, garlic, chili powder, and green onion spread in a thin layer on street taco size tortillas. They cooked about 4-5 minutes. With it bok choy and an Asian Sand Pear.

It was a good mix of both. Not overly sweet though because there was only a tablespoon of sugar in the jam

I saw a recipe from fiveingredientfeast for a Brie, Bacon, and Blueberry Jam grilled cheese sandwich so I had to try it. I made the jam using blueberries from our yard. It's delicious and a keeper.

I forgot to post that Emma's 11th birthday was last week. The days and years are just speeding by for both of us.

Today is Emma's Spa Day and I was not happy dad left without me. Because her appointment was early I didn't get to go see my friends I visit almost every morning. Mom did share bites of her sausage and toast with homemade plum jam and that was a good thing.

A drippy day here in my area of Oregon. It was a good day for baking though. I made a batch of Marranitos AKA Puerquitos (little piggies) gingerbread Pan Dulce. Yum!

Mac got one today too and even with the same shampoo. Here he is all clean and ready to play.

National Cheesecake Day so for dessert I made Mini Mason jar fresh blackberry Cheesecakes. The berries came from vines in my brother's yard.

For tonight's dinner, marinated and airfried lamb chops, homemade potato salad, an Italian style tomato and cheese casserole. For dessert in honor of National Mango Day, ice cream topped with a mango rum sauce and coconut rolled cookies.
