He is a far cry from how we'd normally envision him.

There are some story arcs that are great, touching, and some that are just fun. I think you'll find it worth the ride, but also a prequel to your reading or listening to the book as we never reach the end of the journey in our story.

It is a great book though with a few mysteries to unravel.

...(who cherish their magical gold), and you have a 'new god' pop into the mix who is none to pleased with Shadow. The question is, 'Why?' Who is Shadow? Soon you're introduced to Anansi, from Africa, and on and on, laying the groundwork to some potential conflict....

I gotta admit, it probably helps if you know mythology (And you might) to connect the dots and recognize the old gods and beings that are in the mix.

The first eps opens with the Vikings bringing Odin to America.
Wednesday essentially tells Shadow this is who he is. You've got a leprechaun ...

I wouldn't stop what you're doing. Anything that isn't plain white is already a plus in my books, and what you lay down complements the characters in the foreground properly, when not actively being a part of their actions.
Photo realistic backgrounds w/o similar character art would just be weird.

25+ years later, I can say that this may never change for you. It's still tough for me to go to sleep before 1:30 or 2am.

It's an excellent audiobook.
Just don't rewatch the trailer in the meantime.

If they have -any- ability to impact the plans or decision, you always wait. You can even wait until they figure it out for themselves :)

My goal is normally to try and hit the pool or hot tubs before bed if they close in the overnight.

Salt wasn't doing much of anything with the added sleet, so I'll hit that again in the morn. And as my driveway is probably a 40 degree angle, my taking the car out to work on it a bit wasn't wise, but I got it back enough to clear the sidewalk anyway :p

Like many of us, It's been a long day of battling the snow accumulation. I broke out the electric 9" rated snowblower (3rd time in 8 years? I prefer to shovel), it fought through like a champ. Even the 3 foot wall the county would make, and inches of sleet just kept coming <cont>.

'saw this on Mast. it was new to me & cute. Maybe to you too. At night we get deer, foxes, the random cat, the occasional raccoons, but I don't think I've seen a possum in RL or on the cam in 10 years. I'd love one in the garage, but would be annoyed if there was that much room to get in at all :)

Yeah, that's next level madness there. I know your state doesn't have the best track record, but here's to hoping the infrastructure stays up and you can relax or have fun at home.

I go through about that much, with shells, every two weeks, I'd guess. I started feeding them out front instead of in the back when I realized my Ring camera kept me entertained with them.

But then the foxes would find what was left behind at night, adding even more entertainment. They love them.

Good to know. I've kept a placeholder there that I look at every few months. No time like the present to burn it down.

Hey readers: Do you find Table of Contents helpful in novels? Or do you generally skip over them?

I can't say that I've ever glanced at a table of contents for a novel, but I do like to see in olde books a list of illustrations, their names and illustrators, of one is so industrious to break such details out.
