Leninism, like Hakim promotes, does indeed always lead to dictatorship, at least when it's successful. It does not lead to communism.

Carney basically echoed Gramsci with a huge omission. His two themes were “the old world is fading, and the new world is struggling to be born." He left out “now is the time of monsters" because they were all there in the room, and the mirror.

Carney's greatest rhetorical coup was to equate the "fiction of the international rules-based order" with the aspirational "Workers of the World Unite."

He's saying both are equally meaningless. He's equating a disillusioned Soviet grocer with liberal leaders tired of bootlicking Americans.

In the past I've often tried to soften a lot of my anarchist conclusions for liberals and progressives. You know, kinda put the abolition of nation-states to the back burner to give people options for improving things in less scary big changes, but I'm kinda over that right now. Look around.

Liberal centrist moderate politics in a nutshell

Seems bad that leftists should want to exclude the labor of disabled people whose labor isn't profitable for the owning class from our solidarity. I believe that labor is an extremely broad term and is inherent to living. Disability doesn't preclude labor of all kinds. They're our comrades.

ICE killed Rene Nicole Good as a warning to all of us to not record them. They think we didn't hear. We did. And people are clearly just going to record them more. Remember that The Democrats are just as much on ICE's side as the GOP.

A lot of people seem to think that the term working class doesn't apply to disabled people who can't work and I suppose on some level thats true but it doesn't change who our enemies are, namely the ruling class or the capitalist class and the politicians they own

There's no such thing as peaceful law enforcement, especially not immigration enforcement. The police ARE state violence. That's it. The sooner everyone acknowledges that the better. If you support cops and immigration enforcement then just accept you support violence.

I'm critical of these Saskatchewan separatists not because of some misguided allegiance to the State of Canada but because its led by pathetic loser politicians who just want to give bigger favors to big business or white supremacists and its doomed to fail. Its a terrible idea

All countries are basically big civic cults, whether we realize it or not. Those who plead, "oh, but patriotism is just loving your country", never seem to pick up on this.

Because what makes a country? Totalizing power of a ruling elite over the populace, that's what. It's a menace to liberty.

I don't know if it was something I've always explicitly believed but over the past few years I've basically come to realize that patriotism and its extreme relative nationalism are both part of the authoritarianism family
