I had a whole baby (two and a half years ago) and now I just have to, what, go to work? I have to miss them during business hours? For most of the year?? So grim.

I am learning to recognise that yes, this will take all day, but whatever words arrive will be worth it.

I am a slow writer. The more I lean into that instead of trying to change it, the better my writing is, actually. Yelling at myself internally to hurry up and sleep doesn't get me to sleep faster, and panicking about writing doesn't make that process faster either.
