Stars are also available on the transits page now. The star details in the sidebar display conjunctions to the custom stars of the inner chart.

Please have a look and let me know if this works for you!

Please also have a look at the "My Star List" feature, that is hopefully more self explanatory!

Now the added "Custom Star" should show up on the chart regardless of any conjunctions to planets.

(If the chart was already selected while doing all the steps, you will need to switch to a different chart and come back again. Will be fixed in the release.)

With the "Stars" dialog open:
1. Switch to the "Custom Stars" tab
2. Choose "Single chart"
3. Select the chart
4. Click "Add Custom Star"
5. Enter name and choose position
6. Select filter "always"
7. Click "Save"

You need to enable fixed stars in the sidebar and choose a star list that contains "Custom Stars".

Then click the "My Star List" Button to open the star settings dialog.

Yes! I'll let you know when a preview is ready, which should make things easier to discuss.

I can enable fixed stars, which will include custom fixed stars, on the transit chart as well. They will be displayed in the zodiac ring however.

(I didn't initially do it because it was unreadable, but with the chart size slider it should work better now.)

Which can be defined with a name and a specific position, plus visibility options (all charts, or only one specific chart). What do you think?

(It would be nice if you could write an astrology book, that includes a list of stars, and publish it. Then I could officially add Ankur’s stars. Just a suggestion… 😉)

Alright, I will look into it. But I know from the last time already, that constellations can be quite big. Stars are subcategorized into alpha, beta, gamma and so on, and it’s hard for me to know which ones are useful, and which ones no one really cares about.

why I started with Royal and Behenian stars, because they are a very specific set.

I put “custom star list” on my open Todos. It can certainly be done, not a quick thing to do though.

I can certainly add the requested stars, but my problem is, how should I label them, what’s the name of the list?

Why exactly those stars? Do they belong to a certain tradition, or a specific astrologer/book?

It needs to be clear for every user which stars are available and which aren’t. That’s…

So far the Royal and Behenian fixed stars can be displayed on the chart page (not on the transits page).

If you need more stars please let me know! I had a hard time finding good lists of ones astrologers would be interested in.
