그러니까 터미네이터2를 지금와서 다시 찍으면 저지먼트 데이 장면 다시 찍어야한다고 생각함. 스카이넷이 발사권을 가지고 있지 않고 인간이 발사권을 가지고 있는 장면으로.

hmm, now the result of the faculty job application is conclusive. and yes, i did not get any job! I was the first reserve (again!!), and the other person accepted (again!!). It is a sobering situation. good that i have been looking for other opportunities, and frankly there are many exciting ones

trying that for 10 years (5 year phd +5 year postdoc) is long enough, and i think i did non-trivial good work that moved the discussions around the landscape of string theory in a constructive manner. so i have done enough. I should know my worth, and embrace other opportunities.

frankly though, if there is only one job in my field in the entire western hemisphere (because i have to exclude cornell for obvious reasons), trying to get an academic job is equivalent to spending all one's money on lottery with the hope that one will get lucky.

I should really make simulating super lattice qcd within this year myself a goal. It would be so cool if I can do that

Frankly playing with claude code is so much fun.... I can do so many things I simply put aside, because those things would've taken too much time but not any longer with ai...

I predict that many computational bottlenecks will be removed with the help of ai coding tools. Then it would be truly exciting time to do a high level thinking

What an Era! I cannot imagine how much more people can do in science with this awesome tool

It is exciting that I can use claude code to write some impressive codes to reduce the computational burden significantly to do some good calculations in string theory

I pushed my first repo to github! I will start creating more codes. The current one is private that may be made to public soon

it would be amazing to put KS gauge theory on a lattice to study the anti-d3-brane instability definitively to end the KKLT debate once and for all. if i have more resources, maybe i can do the lattice qcd simulation myself
