Oh that copy sounds gorgeous! It was also my first big book! And I think is what firmly cemented my love of reading.

Living up to my bio, I do, in fact, like birds. This very cool crow sat very nicely for a photo, unlike the Oystercatcher's I'd seen earlier in the day (crows are better anyway)

Never ordered something so fast!

Cannot wait for warmer spring days so I can go on a nice walk and find a nice spot to read a good book without freezing to death

Alongside the Hero of Ages I've also picked up a manga! I watched the anime of this last year and loved it so when I seen this in my local Waterstones it had to come home with me. I am loving it so far! Such a cosy comforting wee read (that will make you hungry 🍛)

Finally starting The hero of ages, I dont want this trilogy to end 😭

It's a shorter and easier to follow fantasy series than any John Gwynn series but in my opinion just as good.
Though if you like non-fiction The Company of Owls is a very nice memoir about chronic illness and finding solace in nature

Have you read Godkiller by Hannah Kaner? It's a trilliogy. The 3rd book is out in March. The first 2 were some of my top fantasy books of 2024!
