My Easter tradition that is at least 10 years running. Duck Shit Oolong. I think this is 2014 from #white2tea I save it for Easter and I easily got another 5 years. Today I'm cooking a bunch and trying to relax.

The weird find at Cascadia Tea Festival - Fireweed/ Ivan Chay processed/aged as puer and oolong. It is not puer. I wouldn't call it heicha either as there isn't camellia sinensis. Really neat teas - dark fermented flavor that caffeine free.

I've been watching "The Rise of Ning". Entertained by pufferfish poisoned puer cakes. The cha qi tingle gotta be crazy.

I can drink only lukewarm tea for awhile thanks to broken teeth and temp crowns. It has been weird tastes and pain due to temps and weird dental material in my mouth.

It appears a couple of tea vendors have or plan to up their prices by 10%. Some did it across the board, and others will do so for new teas. Totally get it and unavoidable, but it certainly is a shitshow of panic buying and non US buyers pissed off. And these packages will take forever.

Time for us folks near the border to get a Canadian PO box.

Watching "Kill Me, Love Me" cdrama. The villain does some serious gongfu brewing while he schemes. His minions admit to be "too stupid to enjoy the art of tea". Heros just drink liquor. Hmmm....

Preemptive chenpi to keep the sick at bay. My entire house has the flu except me. I did have a flu shot, so I hopefully will be safe. Bitterleaf white tea chenpi. Shit ass storage of half orange left open on my tea table for 3 months. Tastes fine.

I could use a magic enchanted tea pot. No other mention of its witchcraft other than the title, so sadly just a translation error.

I drank 5g of matcha, mixed with super green prebiotic mushroom swill and frozen fruit, plus chugged cold brew concentrate. All to get through the day as I'm behind on sleep. The cold brew finisher was like getting woken up from an ice bucket challenge.

My rabbit cost me $1k in vet dental bills today. Worth it though as imaging showed he has a tsundere fang that is growing out of control.

Mixed equal parts Sparkling Tea Blanc and Rose... it tastes like Rose with extra floral jasmine. Blanc tea flavor still a winner.

Found these sparkling teas at Trader Joes, which I have taken to a News Years party. The Blanc is better. It's got that refreshing green and floral flavor. The Rose oolong is more wine tasting. It is dry and herbal.

I found this can of Ito En Matcha Love in the back of the fridge. It tastes pretty good, doesn’t taste like it expired in Dec 2022. I should get more, maybe I'll drink it before the best by date. #teasky #matcha

It's that time of year - everyone's advent calendar social media spam. Zzzzzz. Bleh.
Though I was gifted a Penzeys spices advent calendar. Today was pepper. Disappointed my SO won't eat the whole bag.

My family does "Great Turkey comes up the garbage disposal and with presents for the family". I got another owl teapot. He's doing yarn bowl work tonight.

I hate Thanksgiving holidays with the family so much that I drink coffee instead of tea.

Ditto, I tend to forget to empty my used leaves bowl. They ferment again to create a new moldy tea blend.

I'm watching the cdrama "Jiu Liu Overlord". Episode 20 the FL distracted a hostile tribe with a sack of green tea leaves they could buy at a bargain. Turns out, the tea got soggy and went off during their travels. However, the tribe loved it and the witty FL/ML, on the spot, named it pu-erh tea. Ha!

I survived the first wave of the Seattle cyclone or whatever that was last night. I was drinking my last cup of tea for the day and the power went out, killing off the tea session.

I dyed some yarn with 1990s puer tea and acid dyes. It is for a special project...
