To be fair, Republicans when we were kids (assuming I am correct in guessing we share a cohort) were just a *wee bit different* than what the party is now.

I just realized my bitty baby cousin turns *21* today. I think part of me just shriveled into dust.

Having a morning where I am more tired now than when I went to bed, and I have a dev meeting in fifteen minutes.

Minor grump: I had ideas this morning for where to go with this chapter, but I worked a full day and shoveled and now I am too tired to actually write anything — or even completely remember them correctly, TBH.
Why can’t I write when I am awake and actually have the inspiration???

No, but I definitely have had a reflux burp that occurred just after drinking orange juice. . .that turned into a sneeze. Orange juice through the nose is no bueno.

I know it is a camera effect but it sure looks like a Gate of some sort just opened up in Montana.

I had intended a specific sequence of events to occur in my next Fic chapter as a Part 2 from the previous chapter. But as it so often happens with stories, things have decided to go in a different direction than I planned. This next chapter might take longer to write than anticipated. #amWriting

Lunar eclipse tonight!! Alas, here it reaches peak right before sunrise (as in: literally 5 minutes before), and I do not have a clear view of the western horizon! So I guess no eclipse for me. But those of you who can enjoy it, should!

Peak here isn’t until just before sunrise. Could be nice if you have a clear view of the western horizon, but alas I do not.

I found out randomly yesterday that my library had a writing group, so I went today. I am so glad I did! There were 7 of us, mostly older than me, and we all have different types of writing. Everyone was super nice and seemed excited about my novel! #amWriting

Fic chapter up! (Well, half of it, anyway). Yay!

One of the joys of my job is dealing with code written by technically brilliant people (whose skills I have mad respect for) who in their system design fail to account for the fact humans will human.

Honestly, a lot of my sketches are *absolutely awful*. (Like: “what is that anatomy??”) If you want any advice: style really comes from playing with a lot of different things, and being technically terrible at most of them. 🤣. Eventually you’ll find something that feels right for you! So keep at it!

I did art instead of words. Of course now that I think I could focus, I really need to go to bed.

No words tonight. Can’t focus. Will maybe art instead. This has not been a very good writing week. 😭
But there is still tomorrow. I’m praying that my brain will let me get my act together enough to finish this chapter (half) and get it posted tomorrow. I really want to get this chapter *done*! GAH!

Do humans get the zoomies?

Because I definitely have noticed lately that on days I don’t get much exercise, my sympathetic nervous system goes into revolt: I get super wound up (usually in the evening) for absolutely *no* discernible reason.

Or maybe I’m just part cat. I dunno. Bodies are weird.

Brain kept getting pulled into story mode while trying to do work today, so I spent my lunch break writing notes on how to resolve the Fic chapter I have been struggling with since last week. Here’s hoping I have the energy this evening to actually *write* the scenes! #amWriting

I put my dinner sandwich on the coffee table. I go to pick out a DVD+ to watch while I eat. I look over, and the top piece of bread is on the floor, next to little gray gremlin cat who has taken a bite out of it. I thought we were past her food thieving days!! #cats (+Macross 2, if you’re curious)

I back into perpendicular spaces when I can without massive disruption, because 1) Much easier exit, when I’m more likely to be tired/annoyed 2) If something happens to your car like the battery dying (unless it’s one of a few models), you can access the important parts the car if you are nose-out.

People said nice things about my Fic, and I desperately want to get this chapter up, as I said I was hoping to post it this week (haha, my bad). But my brain just won’t cooperate. I have just been *exhausted* the last three days (after an extremely sucky Friday), and I am starting to get irritated.

Do you need any beta readers for this?

Well, I tried to get that Fic chapter revised in order to post today (okay, the first half of the chapter — I have split yet again for length). But I’ve gotten to the last scene and my brain has run into a full wall of Too Tired. Now I’m trying to decide if I should try and walk or nap for a bit.

Noooo! That’s awful.

One thing to watch for is those can get a bit scratchy and catch paper bit in the nib if you’re not using high-quality paper. (Ask me how I know).
