It’s been an exhilarating, exhausting and emotional week, fantastically finished with a social ride in North Vancouver—reminding us why it’s called the “wet coast”. Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and/or a book, and made time to come see and speak with us. It really does mean the world to us.

Seamlessly linking key destinations between the Spirit Trail and Seabus terminal, North Vancouver’s Esplanade has been transformed into a complete street. The wider sidewalks, protected bike lanes, and Dutch-style intersections help to create a more safe and welcoming environment for all road users.

The Stanley Park Mobility Study has been released, and the VULC is quite disappointed at its contents. While we support improving bus service in the park, nothing in the report will make cycling safer or more accessible in the near future. #bikeyvr 1/8

After 3 years, the Stanley Park Mobility Study has been released. You can read it here: parkboardmeetings.vancouver.ca/2025/2025091...
It is very, very underwhelming. A return of a separated bike lane is contemplated, but not specifically recommended, in the 7-15 year timeframe.

A the top of Windridge hill, the choice is to connect back to Mount Seymour Parkway or to use a small trail that connects to Berkley Road.
Project ends at Berkley Road at the Recreation Centre. Sign says "Temporay End of Trail".
The hill up Windridge Drive is quite steep, but is quieter than the route along Mount Seymour Parkway.

Connecting trail between Heritage Park Lane and Windridge Drive.
Crossing of Riverside Drive to continue onto Windridge Drive.
Windridge drive has sharrows and speed bumps.
I checked out the first part of the Spirit Trail East extension from Seymour River to Windridge Park last weekend. The trail mostly uses existing side streets: starting on Heritage Park Lane and continuing on Windridge Drive.
