Another game where the VAR convinced a ref their original 50/50 decision was wrong. Only seems to happen against Arsenal. Quite amazed how they make VAR even less understood every season.

I have no idea how Fulham have this unique ability to stop us playing. God I hate playing them. Huge 3 points - hopefully some better attacking performances to come.

My main takeaway on the starting XI - I feel like last season we felt we needed to spend to ensure we weren’t starting Merino in games like this - yet for some reason, we still are where we are. I don’t really know what to make of that.

On the way back from the game. Not sure what the “mainstream” reaction is but I didn’t think we were that great. I can’t work out what it is but something feels like it’s missing. Felt like we let them get the better of us with the fouls. I’m still not convinced that midfield 3 works.

Feels like the first “proper” Arsenal home game of the season for me (as I missed Leeds and despise early Sat KOs) - few 🍺 pre game in the unexpected sunshine then on to watch us hopefully secure 3 points!

I’m sure this will change with more minutes to evaluate them but right now I don’t think there are any “bad” players in our squad anymore - I feel comfortable with pretty much anyone coming on or starting - which feels like a game changer for Arsenal this year.

Been very impressed with us these last 2 games. Something feels very different even though we are clearly nowhere near our best (yet).

Out of all the departures this summer, I really hope Zinchenko can go and have a decent career with Forest (or anyone). Just seemed like a really good guy who helped us on our journey away Europa league mediocrity. #Arsenal

Absolutely baffling how Sky have created a narrative for this game that is detached from reality

Sky sports have crafted a bizarre narrative on why we have lost this game which is completely removed from reality. We lost to a quality set piece and couldn’t hurt them for most of the game due our injuries/new signings. Deserved a draw.

Neville has spouted pure bollocks all game today. He knows we are a threat now.

Feeling a lot less confident now seeing that starting XI. I don’t think we really know how to play well without Odegaard. It feels like a LOT of change for a big game - no Havertz, Saka and Odegaard going to Anfield is a huge blow.

Correct once you’re qualified they are pointless - which IMO is a good thing?

United pretty lucky they are playing at the least hostile away ground in the PL today. No real home team pressure making this mediocre performance get awkward.

Wins are a lot of fun but we were awful. No idea how we have won that.

We look like a team that is trying new things in the middle and up front and it shows. Not worried but these teething problems will make for nervy halves like this one. Hopefully it will click soon.
