I will definitely consider Beyoncé's cover of Blackbird. I know there are mixed perspectives on it, but those vocals and the lyrical tweaks gave me chills the first time i listened to it, and thats a good filter for my vote.

Peter Gabriel's cover of David Bowie's Heroes must be in consideration. And speaking of Bowie, Nine Inch Nails cover of Bowie's Afraid of Americans seems timely.

Oh dang @wxpnfm.bsky.social I never thought I'd hear that 8 miles high cover on the radio... other than when I played it on the overnight shift college radio in like 1989. Its on my list of potential votes here.

But what about less obvious covers? R.E.M.'s cover of Texan band The Clique's Superman? Low covering The Smiths' Last Night I Dreamt... Lemonheads' Mrs. Robinson? Dinosaur Jr's Just Like Heaven? Husker Du's 8 Miles High? This is impossible.

Let's start with the obvious Johnny Cash cover of NIN, Hurt. Or his cover of Soundgardens Rusty Cage? Gary Jules' cover of Tears For Fears' Mad World? No Doubt covering Talk Talk's Its My Life??? Throw a dart at the board to pick a cover of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car!!!

So, why should I use a service or product where the typical behavior is negative? Definitely not good to use for politics in any way. Im too lefty liberal gay for those on the right and too white CIS male establishment for those on the left. So honestly, fuck it.

But if you reply to their quote post, they completely ignore you. You're collateral damage in their quest for likes and attention. They are too invested in being right about you by now. They dont give a shit if they hurt you.

And sadly, their dunking is usually based on poor wording choice that could have been clarified, or them reading those words entirely from their own context, which I can not predict or compensate for in 300 chars. So they put you on blast to their followers.

Ok, I gave the the writer who quote posted my comment plenty of time to see my response and reply. Crickets. So he's blocked now.

I fail to understand why people on BSky do that. Instead of replying to a comment, they ignore you and quote post you to dunk on something you said. So friendly here.
