Last year FTR didn't have my favorite tag match of the year but they had a bunch of great tags on Collision that at the end of the year really added up to make them the tag team of the year.

When I saw this I assumed they were changing things but they wouldn't change that match so I guess they are doing a defense before then.

Up and At Them

For the people who don't know since this person did not use alt text, that is Radioactive Man. His big catch phrase was "Up and At Them!"

Ultimo Guerrero challenged Claudio for the CMLL Heavyweight Title, presumably for H2L. The card feels a little light for the second biggest show of the year but Satanico's retirement is obviously a big deal. Just seems like the card is missing another big match.

I was more excited for The Pilfers but the events of the last week definitely made Leftover Crack feel extremely relevant.

The talent level is there and we get enough tv specials that I think it’ll happen. But I understand why they haven’t tried a major ppv.

They could but would it seem like a slight if the first all women’s show is a special collision? It’s hard to say. They might have been able to pull it off with an Unrivaled lead in to make it seem more natural.

AEW doesn’t have the advantage of owning a building where they can rely on 5,000 people showing up. They are at just over 3,000 for Dynamite so taking a swing on an all women’s show is a risk. Meanwhile CMLL might not bother to put a women’s match on Fridays for a week or two at times.

CMLL doesn’t always give the division the most attention but they are willing to take the biggest swings of any company in this hemisphere for their women’s division and it has started to really pay off.

Last night’s CMLL show was such a wonderful event. Pre-pandemic the CMLL women’s division was very bad. Through lack of booking care and nepotism it was a lowlight of the shows.

After a few years of development and focus they put on the second best North American show of the year thus far.

Triple H has been a source before and they are friends but I don’t think it’s a constant drip. There are a few major things that I am pretty sure Triple H has gone to him on though.
