Today we kick off our new interdisciplinary #U-TurnS Cluster seminar with the presentation of Sara Dezalay's new book "Lawyering Imperial Encounters” which revisits the long history of extraction between the African continent and global capitalism since the nineteenth-century Scramble.

Two days ago we kicked off our first 2025 #Law&Film Seminar session with a powerful film: ‘A Short Film About Killing’ of Krzysztof Kieslowski. 🍿🎥

It was followed by a thought-provoking discussion on the death penalty. The director’s vision serves as a compelling starting point for questioning it.
