My last night in the Amazon turned surreal: my ear began tickling, then hurting. With no hospital for miles, I lay down as the lead entomologist dug into my ear with sharp insect-mounting tweezers. Out came one moth⦠then another. Ever try to stay still with a marching band going off in your head?
