I was reading Dead Funny as people were pushing back against Disney firing Jimmy Kimmel on the orders of the Trump administration. Don't let anyone tell you that pushback didn't matter. It did. And it does. And we're going to need more of it because they're not stopping.

Recommended reading: Rudolph Herzog's book about humor — what jokes were allowed, what jokes weren't, what jokes could get you imprisoned, what jokes could get you shot — during the Third Reich. It's sobering reading right now, as Trump attacks comedians, late night talk show hosts, and actors.
