Should we bring back Ahoy?
yes! this has been a game changer for me
10.05.2023 20:05 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0pretty wild that most states have two senators, but the most populous state in the USA only gets one

05.05.2023 16:51 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0also, this means that the existence of Latin America implies the existence of Germanic America
05.05.2023 12:52 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0TIL that "Latin America" is an extremely literal concept and refers to the American countries that speak languages that derive from Latin - so Mexico, Brazil and French Guiana are included, but Belize, Guyana and Suriname are not

Let's create a thread to help EMEA Tech find each other. Please Reskeet and reply for visibility. Apologies to any of my graph I don't mention. This should help us have a timeline when US folks are asleep. Some of you might not be resident any more, but still have good connections.

29.04.2023 20:10 — 👍 20 🔁 2 💬 1 📌 0it looks like a lot of people here are using their twitter profile pictures to sort of tie the two identities together
unfortunately I set my twitter picture to a baby hippopotamus back in october when I was afraid of being perceived (and fired) by elon & I don’t really want to bring that here
at the time, we really thought we were going to be able to build something interoperable with bluesky; but I'm thrilled to see bluesky thriving either way :')

29.04.2023 10:03 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0it feels surreal that this was just one year ago:
• the twitter crypto team going to amsterdam to get eth-pilled at devconnect
• reviewing the early bluesky architecture docs on the train ride there
• seeing that the elon acquisition was finalized on the way back
where can I find the Bluesky web app? 👉👈
29.04.2023 09:48 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Interesting to see the user expectation gap between web2 and next gen. Average users expect to see rapid iterations, meanwhile next gen platform requires coordination between product and protocol layers
Will experience this new surface of technical challenge myself, keen to see my own solutions :)

- write a lot of code
- ship fast
- juggle protocol and product
- be an agentic player on a small tight-knit team
- create this thing with us
…too late
