TIL that "Latin America" is an extremely literal concept and refers to the American countries that speak languages that derive from Latin - so Mexico, Brazil and French Guiana are included, but Belize, Guyana and Suriname are not

unfortunately I set my twitter picture to a baby hippopotamus back in october when I was afraid of being perceived (and fired) by elon & I don’t really want to bring that here
at the time, we really thought we were going to be able to build something interoperable with bluesky; but I'm thrilled to see bluesky thriving either way :')

• reviewing the early bluesky architecture docs on the train ride there
• seeing that the elon acquisition was finalized on the way back
