Idk for sure what I'll do next, I guess this is an opportunity to fully focus on Bastards of Ethuline (original story). I've been working on some stuff for the past couple months that I haven't yet posted.

Been a while since I last posted, and I guess I might disappoint some people with this but... I'm leaving the Calamity fandom. Temporarily or for good, I don't know yet.

Right now for me the bad experiences outweigh the good, not much is keeping me here and I'm just tired of it all.

The regular ones? Too big to do anything that isn't smashing stuff😔

The problem mostly stems from the lack of diversity in fanart for Calamity. Because the majority of popular stuff is pretty horny, the people who don't like that lean to the other extreme, and I get that feeling perfectly.

But to find a middle ground you first need to have two sides to balance.

Sometimes, under my Calamity gijinka stuff I see people commenting "Finally a non-horny version of them" and like... I'm sorry to break it to you but I'd fuck 90% of them. Prioritizing good character design over sexiness doesn't mean I'm immune to it.

About two months ago I had to give up on my Calamity Infernum run because my laptop could not handle DoG and the lag was unbearable. But hey! After saving up a bit, I got myself a new and better laptop. You know what that means.

My confidence is very low rn, because of that constant cycle of feeling good about something I put my whole heart into, then feeling awful because so little people finding them actually appealing becomes... demotivating, to say the least.

(Fun fact: Their designs were heavily inspired by valkyries, who were often depicted in art with little to no clothes. Commander's original design reflected that but I kinda censored it.)

The only fight I kinda disliked was King Slime because of the huge lack of mobility at the time but the rest were great! WoF was probably the biggest improvement so far imo (I just beat Aquatic Scourge, also a very fun fight)

I started playing Infernum recently and it's been a really fun experience so far. The fights feel more lively and most of them are fair despite the difficulty. Tbh, I prefer a good chunk of these over the original fights (Calamity and Terraria)

Being an avid Touhou player probably helps tho lol
