Sometimes I love GW2 and sometimes...

The best way to enjoy FFXIV is to not listen to anyone else's opinions and experience it for yourself.

48. I wish Square Enix could design FFXIV with an open-world concept like GW2. Open world exploration, like what is found in GW2, makes an MMO go from great to exceptional.

47. FFXIV does lack the kind of MMO experience offered by other MMO's because it is built on the backbone of single-player RPG style games.

46. @tiffanylockheart.bsky.social is a very specific content creator you ALL need to be following. Her videos on Youtube are mindblowingly good. Square Enix would even benefit by hiring her or contracting her to help their branding on a bigger scale.

45. The dye system needs to be reworked, or Square Enix does need to add MANY more dyes to the game.

44. Square Enix needs to implement A LOT more jump puzzles in the game, of the difficulty level of the summer event puzzle & the tower of kugane. They also need to make house builds that go beyond & out into the void legitimate builds, for the simple reason that players can BUILD jump puzzles

I think ffxiv's biggest problem is that by building itself as a traditional FF single player jrpg as its front face especially for the expansions, while also needing to design content structure to be an mmo which it is at heart, kinda weakens both aspects.
