However, strangely, Alfred doesn't turn. And so, with nothing but the resources he scrounge on his own, he has to begin searching for his kids, who've moved along to continue looking for a safe place.

I uh... I like yapping.

After talking Apollo through surviving and taking care of his little sister, Ophelia, on his own, Alfred splits off to get as far away as possible, knowing Apollo wouldn't be able to handle killing him before he turned. He has a plan to do it himself once he finds a good enough weapon.

It's from my zombie apocalypse AU! When cornered while protecting his son (Apollo, pictured on the left), Alfred (right) gets bitten on the shoulder. Later, after finally making their escape, they get a moment to recover, and Alfred reveals the bite.
