Unfortunately that hasn't worked in Cali (or Seattle or really anywhere else. Instead the environmental wing of the party decided that McMansions didn't need permits, but apartment buildings needed a 3k impact statement per nail)

His summary of the quote left out "US". All US wars. Puppet masters behind all US wars. Yeah, that reads as pretty anti-Semitic to me, a non-jewish white boy.

Government Docs Reveal New Details About Tesla and Waymo Robotaxis’ Human Babysitters Self-driving-vehicle companies are revealing new details about their safety-critical β€œremote assistance” programsβ€”but questions remain.

Self driving cars have remote support staff to take over if the system fails. For some reason, this created a meme that they’re remotely piloted.

The idea that someone in the Philippines is doing real-time driving of a car in the U.S. is silly when you consider how physics works.

Front end is the interface, backend is the data model. I tend to think front-end work requires more varied skills, and I say take as someone who’s fundamentally always been a backend developer.

I just move bits man. I don’t have to know what they mean.

Also the rain is so soft that umbrellas are pointless. You can walk 5 blocks in the rain and not get wet.

I don't know about the specifics here, but this formulation usually hides the detail that the vacancies are all in Potsdam NY, and the homeless are all in NYC

The biggest political divide on here is not between left and liberal but between "politics is real and involves real outcomes for real people" and "no it doesn't fuck you"

The only real limits are "official capacity". From behind a podium, there are no limits.

Defamation is just not on the list of things you can sue the federal government for, and people acting for the government can sub in the government in lawsuits

January 3rd is the only day so far this year that cops *haven't* killed someone.πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ

Dems in NYC still have over 1,000 national guard troops deployed in the subway for no reason, compared to the GOP only deploying 800 in DC for no reason.

Cops have arrest quotas. ICE has arrest quotas. Same same.

Americans have been so poisoned by TV copaganda slop that it largely doesn't register to them that police officers are not supposed to point guns at people

guns are in principle not a tool of law enforcement, they are a tool of self-defense that we allow law enforcement officers to have

(it's subsidized by advertising/data collection for advertising. They're all smart. Most of them try and fingerprint what you're watching to sell as data, and the smart bits show ads)

Look, if you had a party scheduled at your house, and the pipes broke and the floor was covered in raw sewage, you’d tell your friends not to come over.

In that spirit: world, skip the World Cup until we get this sewage worked out. And don’t be too sure about the Olympics.

I expect every single law enforcement officer of any kind to be willing to die rather than risk killing a person unnecessarily.

Anyone who does not like that tradeoff should not seek to carry a gun on behalf of the government.

It's really that simple.

A fun thing here is, if I understand correctly...

The distributed architecture here means that bans can be basically No Ops. You (can) own your PDS. Bluesky is just one aggregator of PDS info into a social media site. They can't force blacksky to honor a suspension, for example.

Blacksky Decentralized social media built for community power, culture, and collective freedom.

Anyway, if he wants to keep posting through it, I _think_ he can go to staging.blacksky.community, put bksy.social as the "Hosting Provider", and then use his existing username/password (on a 3rd party site, so very very bad opsec, but details)

No Clue what he did to get suspended. Nothing visible seems relevant.

Maybe this one?

ISTR seeing that blacksky setup a new front end that doesn't need to honor bsky suspensions[β€’]

[β€’] I assume you need to have setup a PDS in advance?

I've said this before and I guess it's worth saying again:

That pesky stuff our Federalist system which gives power to the states causes is often quite annoying but right now it's extremely useful and proving its worth.

"State Sovereignty, National Union" is on the Illinois seal for a reason!

A U.S. president cannot be held accountable. Therefore, a U.S. president must never make a policy decision.

β€œBut what do you expect Democrats to doo-hooo?”

1) Refuse to fund this criminal government anymore.

2) EVERY one of them call to abolish ICE (and bonus, DHS). No more β€œthey need training” shit. Promise prosecutions.

3) EVERY one of them call for Trump’s impeachment, relentlessly, EVERY day.
