Quick note about these sketches. For my work I use pictures of myself for reference. For these sketches my daily sketches however, I used images of various models to study different bodies. I prefer to only use refs i gather myself. But If I do use images I don't own, I like to make a note of it.

To try and fight my perfectionism I did one sketch a day for a week. I gave myself about an hour, and had to take it to lines and color no matter what. I'm happy I did it, and so happy to be done with it cuz the burnout hit me like a ton of bricks the final day x.x

I get that way too sometimes. I think it's because as a less experienced artist you're thinking less and just drawing what you feel, which gives a more organic vibe. While less technically correct, it feels more correct. But now as you learn, you have to couple study with vibes, which takes a while.

Or, your ability to see the flaws in how you draw muscles has outpaced your hand. And in a few weeks the two will flip flop again and you'll feel amazing about the way you draw muscles because your hand is more skilled than your eye.

To think about your art only in terms of how good other people see dehumanizes yourself. Its a view i think paints someone as an art machine. Dont worry about quality, or other people. All that matters exploring yourself on the page and we're just lucky we get to see it.

Its never been about being good enough becuase that doesn't exist. Art is about communication. Youre telling us things you like and are important to you, your experience, through illustration. Thats your human element an AI can never replicate. Dont let them rob you of your humanity.

Stop being something youre not. Theres a big seperation between what you think you want to do, and what you're actually best at creating. And the only way to figure out what you do best is to stop trying, draw a bunch and see what resonates most.
