Pixeltober 2025 Day 30 - Valor ⚔️

I made a horned helmet today, grey metal, bone horns, one broken. It has that “left on a tombstone” kind of bravery, something worn and symbolic. Loved playing with metal vs bone textures at 64px.

I made a small blue bird today, a total palette change after all the greens/browns/greys of the past week. It feels refreshing to go back to cooler tones again. 💙

I made a wooden fence with vines, leaves, tiny red buds, and metal pegs. It keeps the same natural palette as the last few days, so everything fits together. 🍃

I made a stylised tree, simple trunk, rounded foliage, oak-ish vibes. Natural textures are still a challenge, but I like how this one fits with the previous themes (apple, rock, fish). 🍃

After yesterday’s bow, I made its matching arrow, wooden body, vine and leaf details, green feathers, and a metal tip. Funny enough, at 64px it looks almost larger than the bow, but I love how they fit together. 🍃

For today’s theme, I made a bow, a long, thin shape that’s tricky to capture in 64px! I went for a natural design with wooden tones and little leafy details, keeping it in line with the past few nature-themed pieces. 🍃

This thematic called for a break as I had an eye strain but I returned with a remake of my 1st piece, an apple! I refreshed the palette, reworked the shading, and tried to make it softer and more organic than the 1st version.

A pickaxe to go with yesterday’s rock, simple, classic, but with a small emblem in the center to make it special.

A little pile of rocks made with my grey palette. Rock textures are harder than I expected, it’s all about shaping and layering without making it too busy. Still, I love how it fits into the more natural part of this month’s series.

A fish inspired by both tuna and salmon, mixing blues, pinks, and sandy shades to create a fluid, reflective feel. I wanted the palette to shimmer softly, like sunlight moving over scales underwater.

A golden coin with a hole in the center, a mix between ancient coins and lucky charms. The hardest part was getting the metal reflections right again, added some details to fill the space.

A small treasure map scroll, warm parchment tones, tiny hills, and a red ✖️ marking the trail’s end. I love how it connects with my earlier “Key” and “Chest” pieces, like a mini adventure storyline hidden inside the challenge.

I made a black metal lantern with a small fire glowing inside glass as a small light that guides or helps others see you. It’s tough to make dark tones look metallic, and make light looking like it's behind a glass!

A classic wooden treasure chest with golden accents, slightly open, but its contents remain a mystery 👀
I wanted to keep the same color continuity as the previous entries, testament to my color palette.

A golden key with soft curls and a red heart gem. I liked the idea that “freedom” could mean unlocking something within yourself, not just opening a door.

A medieval fortress door for today’s theme! I reused my barrel/tankard palette for the wood and metal, and the greys translated nicely into stones.

I started with a golden ring and a pink gem, but as I added details, the green shapes turned into a serpent forming the infinity sign. Completely unplanned, but it ended up symbolizing the theme perfectly!

Used my pink and green palette from Day 1 to give it a soft, natural continuity.

I wanted to practice light and reflection on gem facets, it was tricky but fun to experiment with!

A purple potion in a round glass bottle (64px, Aseprite).
I wanted to practice transparency and light reflection, using the same palette as yesterday’s grimoire to make them feel connected, like parts of one magical set.

Pixeltober 2025 Day 10 - Magic 📘 A 64px pixel grimoire with gold corners, a blue gem, and a leather strap. I wanted to make a magical but positive piece, using a purple-blue palette to give it a gentle mystical feel.

A 64px rolled-up scroll in pixel art, with a ribbon and wax seal. I worked on perspective and lighting, using a warm gold palette to make it feel like aged parchment.

Pixeltober 2025 Day 8 - Musty 🍄 A 64px pixel mushroom made in Aseprite. I wanted to avoid the usual red cap, but somehow it still happened! The small white spots were tough to place, but they give it a nice, aged look.
