I actually ventured beyond my apartment and my immediate neighborhood. Got arepas and Culver’s concretes in Ravenswood with my friend and then it got too to gallivant so I headed home.

I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going “wow, that’s really silly” and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or it’s problematic

*workhorse dramas.

I’ve been a regular Med viewer for 4 seasons now and think the writing and character work is above average for a procedural drama. I enjoy it quite a bit. Is it “prestige” like The Pitt? No. But I think the long-running workhorse deserve more credit than they get.

It and the the hockey show! The bar staff at my local even hosted an HR trivia night. I think streaming apps splintered the “event TV” phenomenon and we got it back with these two shows.

I’ve wanted to dropkick Voight into Lake Michigan for years. lol. The third hour was the weakest, for sure. But it was overall really well shot and well scripted and seamless.

I actually liked the crossover this past week, though I don’t watch Fire or PD. And I haven’t seen Sky Med! I’ll have to track it down and see if it works for me.

Yeah. And I think The Pitt fans in particular seem to be new to TV fandom so they really don’t watch much of anything else. Not scripted drama, at least.

So, apparently there is little crossover between the audiences of The Pitt and Chicago Med. Because I posted “Caitlin Lenox would eat Dr. Robby for breakfast and he would enjoy it” on two apps yesterday and got no interaction. No likes. It’s kind of amazing. Also, I stand by that statement.
