ITS LITERALLY IN THE MOVIE SO IT NEEDS TO BE IN A PARK!! is such a terrible way to think about theme parks.

Things like that rarely live up to your expectations, imagination, or memories.

Pokemon has a presentation on the 27th, it's apparently the 30th anniversary of Pokemon (hahahahahaha oh no) and the news of their deal with Universal has been made more clear. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think we might get news of what they are going to do then.

Mostly agree with this article but I’d add a couple caveats:

1) Dark Universe is technically “IP,” but it’s mostly reinventions of public domain stories & folklore that are centuries old. For all intents and purposes, it’s an original concept land with *very* loose ties to old Universal movies.

In 2025, IP fully conquered the theme park Preexisting IP has always been a part of the American theme park, but the scales have tipped fully in its favor.
