#coeurldit thought it might be interesting to show my pipeline here: I started posing by using /delighted as a base, adjusted it once I applied the ink mage shader and applied lights for a proper lighting and chromakey, then changed some things up before calling it done. minimal editing in photoshop

Trying out the newest hairstyle made me realize that I really should take more pics of Ilse, Coeurl’s palette swap… not a fan of the hairdo but blonde on pale skin looks very good on her

getting there! managed to make a crosshatch pattern to simulate the paper texture 😌 it doesn't work very well with dark skintones for now so i'll have to lab a bit more

more work on the field note shader, it's... not too bad so far! I'll eventually make a .psd template once I manage to recreate/extract the in game asset of the actual field notes

some reverse engineering thoughts: while i do think that the base renders were post-processed, the outline looks VERY similar to a shader effect and the vignette of the portraits is always the same overlayed brushstroke. it's doable but oof it's gonna take a while, especially nailing the color tones

back to the reshade mines, trying to get a feel for a shader that could replicate the look of portraits in bozja's field notes but im missing some pieces for now (mainly the watercolor-y faded look)
