So, Apple's a (nearly) $4T company...
Why do I still have to pay for a developers license to sign my own code? π¬

I make things with computers. Used to cause trouble at AWS, IBM, and FT Labs. Forged in the fires of Redweb Labs (which were mostly my fault) https://smt.codes

Thanks Marco! That's very kind of you to say π
Alpha goes out on Product Hunt next week - watch this space :)
God, the Squarespace billing UX is ATROCIOUS.

1. Find me every orchestra in Europe
2. Determine if they're doing a Star Trek tribute night
3. Purchase tickets for that immediately.
Sure, Will Smith eating noodles is cool, I guess? But where's the shit that will enrich my soul for $20 per month?
Yeah, the M-Series CPUs on modern Macs are impressive. But have you ever run something directly on the Neural Cores?
Holy F**k!!
It's built on-top of a Welsh open source framework too! Anything could happen π
wails.io
I've put together a little Alpha version for people to try out, but beware, here be dragons/bugs π

I've been playing with wails.io for the last two weeks, and it's pretty great.

What if you could escape the Doom Cycle?
Well, that's what I've been thinking about recently, and so I've built and RSS Reader which uses a built-in transformer-based sentiment analysis AI to filter out news and articles that don't have the good vibes β¨
Local AI filtering out the Doom Cycle AI π
Late night arrival ahead of @webdevconf.com tomorrow!
Hello, Bristol π
That would be super-helpful, but I don't know Swift, so I built this in Go with Wails (wails.io) - so I think I'd have to tie all of that logic together manually π₯²
Wails is phenomenally good, though! Defo check it out for cross-platform native app building (If Go is your thing :) )
Ooh, I haven't thought about too much yet. I've built it "local-first" so far, so everything about sentiment and what you've read lives in a sqlite database on your system.
If I ever built it for cross-platform, I probably would introduce user accounts so you could sync across devices :)
As for seeing what's been filtered out, you can use the slider to see the articles scored as largely negative, or you can use the toggle at the top of the feed to see articles which haven't been scored yet :)

I definitely plan to let people choose what models they would like to use (smaller/faster/less accurate vs bigger/slower/more accurate), but I definitely think a future version will have a "I agree/disagree with this score" so it'll be AI + Human ranking the articles.
Beta coming soon π

Absolutely. Incredible.
Switzerland just released Apertus, a completely open AI model. Not just "open weights" but everythingβtraining data, process, code. While other nations race to build AI, the Swiss are redefining what "national AI" means... π§΅
