The xmas radio playlist is a micro version of a problem that exists all year. I'm not that old, and I remember a time when you could hear about new artists and tracks on the radio. Even xmas music.

There's a reason people don't listen to the radio as much as they used to, and it's larger than the fact that streaming allows everyone to have a personalized soundtrack to their daily life. It's that there are so many tracks out there, but the radio plays the same stuff over and over.

I've pretty much only been listening to xmas music for the last 11 days. Just on the radio. ONLY JUST NOW did I hear Where Are You Christmas, after hearing Underneath The Tree about forty times.
