What if there was an ATProto operating system that you could install apps into?

Check out @aetheros.computer, now with PitchDeck app.

Not quite ready for access, follow AetherOS and stay tuned.

Here’s a look at the some updates for window and workspace management in Aether OS.

You can now create workspaces of your favorite atproto apps, quickly switch between them with hotkeys and even pop out apps into separate browser windows.

This also shows our new Tweetdeck-like app, Deckard.

Dark-themed “Assistant” app window showing a chat where the user asks “What’s on my calendar?” The assistant reports one upcoming event, “ATmosphereConf 2026,” scheduled March 26–30, 2026, in Vancouver, BC (UBC campus Nest building), with a short description of it as an AT Protocol community conference. The user then asks to “Search the web for hotels in that area.” Below, green status lines show web searches and a fetched page, followed by a results panel listing nearby UBC accommodations: West Coast Suites at UBC, Gage Suites, Pacific Spirit Hostel, and TRIUMF House, plus booking platforms (Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com) and a prompt offering to open pages, create a note, or set a reminder. A text input at the bottom says “Create a note for this.”

A dark teal “Aether OS” desktop with two windows open. On the left, an “Assistant” chat shows the user asking “What’s trending on bsky,” then the assistant returns a numbered list of Bluesky trending topics (including “DHS Funding Bill,” “Street Fighter 6,” “Epstein Files,” and others) and asks if the user wants to see posts about any of them. The user sends a follow-up message: “DHS Funding Bill.” The assistant then summarizes what people are saying about that topic, includes a small embedded post preview, and the user sends another message: “Create a note about this.” Below, a status line indicates a note was successfully created, followed by a brief “Done” confirmation message. On the right, a “Textpad” note titled “DHS Funding Bill – Bluesky Trend” shows bullet points summarizing key concerns (ICE safeguards, accountability, calls to contact representatives, and focus on immigration enforcement). A dock of app icons runs along the bottom.

Started testing out GLM-4.7-Flash for tool calling on @aetheros.computer.

You can use it to interact with your atproto records, browse the web to build docs, and search bsky for trending topics/posts.

This LLM runs on my Mac and is surprisingly quick to respond.

Going to add automation next. 🤖

We've been busy working on an atproto docs suite, with keynotes in PitchDeck and spreadsheets in DataGrid.

After today's @standard.site document lexicon announcement, we’re adding Publisher for creating articles and publications.

Here's a workspace with Publisher, DataGrid, and PitchDeck open.

Added a music tracker app to Aether OS that lets you write and share songs in 8-bit chiptune and MIDI soundfont styles.

Songs are saved as atproto records and can be shared with a miniplayer link.

Aether OS desktop showing the terminal and records viewer using atproto cli tools from a linux substrate

Added a power user feature to Aether OS that lets you connect to a container to run various atproto tools.

This Linux substrate allows you to run goat cli from the Terminal app and Tap to save repos to view in the Records app.

I've had this idea for a while, but what if you built a desktop UI on top of atproto data... and what if that UI looked cyberpunk AF?

Here's a first look at Aether OS, a desktop-like interface with system and lexicon apps powered by your data.
